MISSION:
To reduce the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and the subsequent high suicide rates by providing healing outdoor recreational therapy to America’s disabled combat veterans and their families utilizing American Heroes Projects’ fleet of boats, professional captains, volunteer staff and counselors from the VA.
Goals
To build partnerships with organizations and individuals that share this mission statement in order to create this place of healing for our nations wounded veterans, their families and the families of those warriors who gave their life on the battlefield in defense of freedom and liberty.
LOCATION
Located on the shores of Flaming Gorge Reservoir near Manila, Utah amid some of America’s most spectacular recreational lands,the Fallen Warriors Out-Camp is dedicated to the memory of Utah’s and Wyoming’s valiant warriors, killed on the battlefields.
SERVING
Disabled combat veterans and their families, families of the fallen (Gold Star Families), disabled children of Utah’s and Wyoming’s military.

GETTING HERE
Fallen Warriors Outcamp is accessible via Interstate I-80 through Greenriver, WY.(45 miles) or US 191 from Vernal, UT. (62 miles) Air travel through Sweetwater County Airport WY. W/connections to Denver and Cheyenne, WY and SLC International Airport with Delta and American Airlines. Car rentals are available at the Sweetwater Airport, Rock Springs, WY.
Activities
Lucerne Valley Marina is a first class marina offering full services and strategic access to Flaming Gorge reservoir with its world class fishing and boating. Flaming Gorge is an international destination recognized for its trophy trout fishing (Lake trout, Brown trout, Rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, Smallmouth bass and bourbot).

Lucerne Valley Marina
American Heroes Project owns 2 fully equipped pontoon boats docked at Lucerne Valley Marina along with two additional 22’ fishing boats owned by officers and board members are also available for use.
Additional on the reservoir activities include; ice fishing, Water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, boating, wake boarding, paddle boarding, on shore camping. This is a year around fishery with year around activities.
Green River below the dam at Dutch John, UT.
The Green River is recognized as America’s finest tailwater trout fishery, Activities below the dam include; fly fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. The fishery is accessible from the shore as well. There are camping areas along the river. Distance from Fallen Warriors Outcamp to the dam is approximately 36 miles with year around accessibility.

Other marine activities
the surrounding area is covered with numerous streams and rivers flowing into the reservoir as well as nearby alpine lakes that offer excellent fishing.
Land based Activities
4 wheeling, horseback riding, Mountain biking, hiking, hunting and shooting. Educational actives include; fly tying, rod building, entomology classes, local history and geology. Birding and wildlife observation are also available.

Archery range, small bore rifle and pistol, Trap and skeet, air rifle
Community events and activities
There are many events at nearby communities on both sides of the border of Utah and Wyoming; Flaming Gorge Days, Flaming Gorge fishing tournament, Kids fishing Derby, Flaming Gorge freedom festival, Junior rodeo series, Cow country rodeo, Parade of lights and fireworks and many other activities our warriors and their families can engage in.
